To apply for this great Arab University scholarship, you are to complete the application by following the below steps completely. These twenty (20) steps is a breakdown on how to apply for the Islamic University of Madinah scholarship easily and successfully.
Step 1&2: Go to the university official page of admission
Go to the official admission page of the Islamic University of Madinah www.admission.iu.edu.sa/LanguagePage.aspx using your existing browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc) either on PC or perfectly working mobile smartphone. Now select the language of your choice from English, Arabic, Francais, Bahasa, Urdu, and so on as shown in the images below.
Step 3&4: Starting New Application
To start the scholarship application of the University of Madinah, click on the New Application icon. It should now redirect you to the scholarship note page warning you that the university does not have an office or any agent anywhere in the world who receives applicant requests on behalf of the school. Just read it and click on continue to proceed.
Step 5: Welcome message
Upon proceeding to the next page, you will see a note welcoming you to the Islamic University of Madinah as well as telling you that you will be required to review your documents and check the methods of application. Read this also, and click on continue for you to proceed to the next page.
Step 6&7: Islamic University of Madinah Scholarship Requirements
Before you proceed to the registration page of the Islamic University of Madinah scholarship, you have to check if you have the documents required to be eligible and rules and regulations guiding the scholarship.
The required documents include an International Passport (for non-Saudi), Academic certificates (original and translation to the Arabic language if it is not in Arabic), transcripts and its translation, medical fitness report, birth certificate, recommendation letters from two reliable scholars, and or organization, certificate of accepting Islam (for those who are not Muslim by birth, but accepts Islam), and testimony of conducts.
To proceed to the next page, click on “I have read and understood the conditions, notices, and commitment stated above, and I agree to comply with them in full”. After this, click on continue as usual.
Step 8: Code Generating
Welcome to the confirmation page where a code will be generated for you as the one appears on this image: 30796. This tells the university upon confirming the code that you are a human, not a robot. Fill the field with the code generated for you and click on continue.
Step 9: Sending Activation Link
Here, you are to submit your full name and email to receive the activation link to be eligible for the scholarship application. Make sure you use a valid and correct email. Click on Send Email to submit your email.
Step 10: Check your email address and click on the activation link
Go to your email account inbox, and open the message received from [email protected] Now click on “The activation link from Islamic University”. You will see a link there to auto-redirect you to the scholarship page. Just click on “this is your activation link”.
After clicking on the link, you will see a message telling you that you can now submit a request. Just click on New Application. Now focus on the remaining steps on how to apply for the Islamic University of Madinah scholarship.
Step 11&12: Fill your personal details
This is where you are going. You will use the page to fill all your personal details such as names, passport details, date of birth, gender, nationality, place of birth, place of living, and so on.
Also, you will fill the details of your academic qualifications including grade and the year you obtained the certificate you want to use. Now click on continue to proceed to the next page.
Step 13: Referees’ Information
You will be asked to fill your referees’ information where you obtained the recommendation letter. Select either it is from an Islamic organization or Islamic personalities. Fill their title, full names, and position they hold.
Step 14: Health and Social information
After the referees’ page, the next form to fill your social and health information which comprises of the marital status (single or married), and suffers from chronic disease or disability. This is very important for you.
Step 15: Quran memorization and Arabi skills
This step asks about the Quran memorization and Arabic skills that you acquired. You will select according to the correct information on the memorization of the Quran ranging from whole Quran memorization, some parts, or just some chapters.
Also, do not forget to fill info about your Arabic speaking ability and other languages you can speak. Supply correct answers to the information and click on continue to proceed to the next step.
Step 16: Contact Details
The contact details are very important to your application. Without this contact information, there is no way to trace you in case your admission is successful. You will be notified through your contact details, such as:
- Phone number: do not forget to include country code (like Bangladesh code: +880). If you’re from Bangladesh and your phone number is 783290234, you will write (+880783290234).
- Your country (for example Bangladesh)
- Address of the location you live in: this includes:
- City (for example Rajshahi)
- District (for example Rajhi)
- Street (for example Kumat Hilmar)
- House number (for example 1097)
- Postal code (for example 6100)
Note: Do not fill a fake address or contact details so that you will be traced in case of an emergency, or you want to be informed about your successful admission. After this, select option yes when asking about computer and webcam access.
Step 17: other information
In this step, you are to submit other details about you. It relates to your studies. The questions asking here include: have you ever studied in any Saudi university or currently studying in any university? Have you ever applied for the scholarship of the Islamic University of Madinah or any other Saudi university before? Are you studying in any university outside Saudi?
Just answer the above questions with valid answers. Also, tell the university about how you’re happy about the application form from the options (‘I strongly agree’, ‘I agree’, ‘I disagree’, or ‘I strongly disagree’. Before you click on the save and send button, make sure you write down your comment regarding how you satisfied with the form application.
Step 18: Faculty of study selection
We are still on steps to follow on how to apply for the Islamic University of Madinah scholarship. The next step is to choose the faculty you want to study. You are to select from:
- Theoretic Route: this includes the Faculty of Noble Quran, Faculty of Islamic Law, Faculty of Arabic Language, Faculty of Dawah and Islamic Fundamentals, Faculty of Regulations, and Faculty of Hadith and Islamic Studies.
- Non-theoretical Route: this route includes faculty of; computer science, engineering, and faculty of science. This route has terms and conditions which include:
- The applicant must be able to speak fluently in Arabic or English language.
- The high school certificate acquired by the applicant.
Note: choose any of the two faculties of your choice, click on continue to proceed to the next step.
Step 19: Selection of the documents to upload
In this step, you are to upload your documents. Before uploading, choose from the options the documents you have with you (such as Passport photograph, international or national passport, high school certificate with its translation, medical report, first and second recommendation letters, and so on).
After the selection of the documents, click on continue to proceed to where you will upload your documents.
Step 20: Uploading of the documents
Now, it is time to upload the documents you selected in step 19 above. I hope your documents are already scanned? I hope it is in jpg extension? If the answers to the above questions are yes, kindly proceed.

How To Upload Your Documents
To upload your documents, follow the below steps:
- Click on choose file, it will open your files directory on your phone or PC (personal computer).
- Locate the file you want to upload (for example you want to upload a passport, make sure you locate the passport), then select the document.
- Click Save to make it uploaded.
- Click continue to proceed to upload other documents one after the other.
